FIRST NCAA SHOWCASE IN TURKEY

U6b0zcvgKu-This April 25th and 26th, NCAA certified showcases tip off in Ankara and Istanbul. To our knowledge, this would be first ever NCAA certified men’s basketball events for basketball players ages between 15 to 21.

The idea is to attract NCAA Universities Basketball coaches to visit Turkey and get more familiar with Turkish basketball and talent that it possess. UBA International network of scouts will invite talented basketball players from all regions in Turkey to apply at www.ubashowcase.com for these showcases. Based on applicants, only 100 players will be invited for Ankara Showcase and only 60 player will be invited for Istanbul Showcase.

Athletes can go to www.ubashowcase.com to get familiar with the rules, schedule and the application process. The presents of big NCAA universities brings the excitement, and hope they will perform well during these showcases.

UBA staff will have an opportunity to promote upcoming UBA Turkish Showcases to NCAA basketball coaches at this year’s NCAA Final Four in Indianapolis. “Each year, we see international athletes getting more and more excited about NCAA Showcases that are organized globally. This contest allows them the opportunity to compete for scholarship offers.” said Momir Gajic, NCAA certified operator for UBA Showcases.

All registered and invited players are guaranteed two games and total of 40 playing minutes. NCAA coaches will be present as well as college scouts and evaluates from different parts of Europe. Each game will be video recorded and each player evaluated. Not only the visiting NCAA coaches will benefit from seeing total of 160 players in Ankara and Istanbul, but the scouting reports and evaluations will be send to all NCAA basketball teams.

It’s a big day. Possibilities are endless.  For some, their dreams will become true within the day. For another this will be their chance to be seen. One thing that seems certain: It will be fun.
